Services Offered
The Early Childhood Network offers the following for children (birth through third grade) residing in Maury County with a behavioral and/or a mental health disorder:
- Advocacy efforts to promote the maintenance and continued development of coordinated child-centered, family focused and culturally competent services in the community
- Behavior/Mental Health screenings
- Community education regarding early childhood mental health provided through workshops and a lending library
- Early Childhood Network Resource Manual
- Linkage and referral among network members so children served can receive multiple services and move through the system of care in a coordinated manner
- As a payor of last resort, the Early Childhood Network offers limited funding to assist with mental health needs of children. Funding to assist in the payment of the following services:
- Behavior consultations and interventions for home or school
- Behavior/mental health screenings and follow-up services
- Child care/Respite (for when you need a break)
- Insurance co-pays and deductibles
- Medications for behavioral/emotional problems
- Meeting between parents and those who provide services for your child
- Neurological evaluations
- Parent training and support
- Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
- Psychological evaluations
- Summer camp or summer programs
- Therapy services
- Training for teachers, assistants, and others who want to learn how to deal with your child’s problems
- Transportation
- Referral services to other agencies
- Scheduled presentations of information regarding services provided by Network members including updates describing the addition, change, or deletion of services offered.
- Anything else to meet the mental health needs of children and their families
The Early Childhood Network is the payor of last resort.
